Woodward's encaustic paintings highlight conflicts between humans and the natural world. Animals float among cosmic constellations, creating dreamy, and visceral interactions between order and chaos. Using the encaustic hot wax medium, Woodward uses traditional as well as found wooden supports that function as both image and object.
