Lancaster Office of Promotion Sponsorship Opportunities

We’re on a mission to build a stronger, more equitable Lancaster block by block

About the City of Lancaster

The City of Lancaster is home to 60,000 diverse residents from all walks of life. These residents, and the neighborhoods they call home, are the backbone of what makes Lancaster City a special place.

In addition to its residents, nearly 40,000 people commute into Lancaster City each day for work; and hundreds of thousands more make Lancaster a destination to visit each year. Lancaster City is a thriving community, rich in history and culture, that has welcomed everyone since 1742.

Community Engagement

The City of Lancaster does much more than provide municipal services like public safety and public works. Under the leadership of Mayor Danene Sorace, the City of Lancaster has consistently been ahead of the curve—from utilizing data to inform decision-making, to kickstarting the community response to the COVID-19 pandemic. But the core of this work is engaging the community in all aspects of City government in ways they have never been before. By building opportunities for direct resident input, through an equity lens, every corner of Lancaster City can flourish.
