Demuth Invitational: Portraiture Through Artists’ Eyes

Like many artists, throughout his lifetime Charles Demuth explored portraiture. His subjects ranged widely from friends and family to fictional characters in his literary illustrations, and his style included representational works and his pioneering poster portraits conveying likenesses in an abstract concept. For the 2023 Demuth Invitational exhibition, more than 60 local artists submitted work that explores portraiture through their perspective and style.
