The Red Rose Run returns to Lancaster on June 6, 2026! Join us for the 50th Anniversary of this 5-mile race through Lancaster City and County Park, bringing over a thousand runners to Lancaster City. The Red Rose Run also includes a kids fun run and wheelchair race.

Join us for a milestone event—the 50th Annual Red Rose Run! We’re taking it back to 1977 to celebrate a 50-year tradition that has brought tens of thousands of runners, walkers, and community members to the heart of Downtown Lancaster. Be one of the first 250 registrants and be entered to win $250 Downtown Dollars!

Whether you are aiming for a personal best on our 5-mile course or enjoying a fun morning with the family, you are part of our history.

Dress in your finest 1970’s running gear and be ready to bolt and boogie! Yes, the best overall 1970’s themed costumed registrant will take home a City of Lancaster Prize Pack! Plus, we’re going bigger than ever with over $27,000 in prize money and a NEW $1,977 prize for the runner who can break our course record.

The race takes participants on a scenic tour through Lancaster City and County Park, featuring our signature mix of urban streets and rolling park hills.

Red Rose Run Route

North on Queen Street, East on Lemon Street, South on Duke Street, West on Chesapeake Street, 1st block take bridge over Conestoga River then SE on Rockford Road, North on Duke Street, West on Walnut Street and South on Queen Street to finish.

Kids Fun Run is approximately 1/2 mile.

Parking

Parking: Parking is available at the Prince Street Garage, Queen Street Garage, and Steinman Park Garage. Standard street parking rates apply on Saturdays—please check local meters or use the ParkMobile app.

Road Closures: Please be aware that Queen Street, Lemon Street, and Duke Street will have closures starting at approximately 6:00 AM. Arrive early!

Spectators: The start and finish is right at Ewell Plaza with great viewing as your favorite runners race down the hill into the finish line. Cheer loud so all 50 years of participants can hear you!
