The Ware Center for the Arts presents We the People First Friday – free and open to the public!

6:30 PM • Binns Room • “Pride & Create,” a one-hour community gathering focused on LGBTQ+ Pride, offers guided creative activities that celebrate Pride and self-expression, kick-starting a collaborative community art piece that will continue at the Lancaster Pride Festival! Experience the power of the arts in fostering community connections and creating safe, welcoming spaces for the LGBTQ+ community.

6:30 PM • Singer/songwriter Brahm Bean, a student at Millersville University’s Tell School of Music, will put on a free performance outside the Ware Center!

5-8 PM • Regitz Gallery • A reception will celebrate the opening of “The Light in the Dark” by Kenston Lafleur. The young Lancaster native creates acrylic art, figure drawings, stencil paintings, 2D pencil art, mark making, and charcoal portraits that illustrate the depth and breadth of human emotion. On display through May 29.
