“True Americana”: The photographs of Alexia Eggleston

“True Americana,” in Pennsylvania College of Art & Design’s Mezzanine-level CORE Gallery, is a 13-image commentary (representative of the 13 Colonies) juxtaposting the unrealistic stereotypes of the predominantly white americana aesthetic with a more representative and accurate depiction of the melting pot that makes up the U.S. Eggleston’s work was completed as part of their PCA&D Career Development Fellowship.
