December 5 at 5:00 pm 8:00 pm

Visit the world of our collective early 2000’s childhood toys through texture, sight, smell, and more!

Skip and hop back through the hallway of our memories; what made our worlds bright, colorful, and oh-so-sweet! Take a break from the mundane and step back into your dinosaur rainboots or sparkly princess slippers into a sight curated straight from memory. Join us on our adventure back to when we’d run around barefoot and jump in puddles. Back to when we’d scream for ice cream, instead of taxes. When a snow day was an actual day off, not just work from home. When all was right within our own inner child’s mind. When the sky was our limit, but so was the height restriction on roller coasters…

Step into a childhood classic: I Spy! Can you walk through our room of childhood wonder and clutter to find all 5 lost toys? Can you spot the things that made our childhood light up? Can you hear the laughter and static from the tv? Can you guess our favorite candy?

Recollection is an immersive installation focused on engaging the senses to trigger memories from a nostalgic, rose-colored childhood. All four artists collaborated to create a collective, overarching narrative that was shaped by lived experience and informed by memory, neuroaesthetics, and sensory-motor interaction. Please visit us during our exhibition on December 5th, 2025, from 5PM-8PM, as part of Lancaster City’s First Friday, at Pennsylvania College of Art and Design’s CORE Gallery.
