Guest Artist Gallery Takeover-John Gerdy 2018-2022: A Retrospective

In early 2018, John took his first art lesson from gallery owner, Loryn Spangler-Jones. Little did he know where it would take him. Now, four years later, the scope and volume of his work is varied and significant. From charcoal and ink sketches, to work in acrylics and pastels, from music themed pieces to landscapes, to colorful, whimsical pieces featuring characters from his children’s book, “The AlphaBone Orchestra”, to sets of postcards, this exhibit offers something for everyone.
“From the first lesson, I have been hooked,” says Gerdy. “The visual arts offer an enormous variety of styles and genres and I have been sampling many of them. It’s been a joyous journey of discover and experimentation and I am looking forward to continuing that journey.”
