Lancaster Public Library’s Earth Day Extravaganza is an interactive event that invites community members of all ages to learn about environmental issues and solutions in a family-friendly atmosphere.
The event will feature exhibits, presentations, storytimes, a plant swap, and even a pop-up produce stand! Families with children of all ages will be inspired and motivated with ways to welcome environmental-sustainability practices into their daily lives.
SCHEDULE
♻ 10AM-2PM: Children’s Craft Table
Children will color the inside bottom of an egg crate. This becomes a Nature Scavenger Hunt with children finding different natural objects that match the colors in the egg crate.
♻ 10AM-2PM: Young Adult/Adult Craft Table
Upcycle old books by decorating a page.
♻ 10AM-2PM: Plant Swap
Bring a plant, take a plant!
♻10AM-12PM: Pop-Up Produce Stand
The Junior League of Lancaster will distribute complimentary fresh produce to attendees. This initiative is in partnership with American Heart Association, ensuring every community member has access to nutritious food across Lancaster.

Lancaster Conservancy tells us how to incorporate native wildflowers into a personal garden.

Lancaster Conservancy outlines the best and most beautiful hiking trails throughout Lancaster County.
