ThanksGivin’ Back had been an annual love fest, dance party-benefit, started by D.C. & Co. bandleader Dave Costarella in 2002 to raise money for a band mate’s medical bills, and then for Hospice of Lancaster County, in the following years, raising over $30,000 for them, other beneficiaries have been local foodbanks and Finefrock –Stumpf Golden Gloves Youth Center.
D.C. & Co. have been recording and performing their wild rollercoaster mix of horn-powered Rockin’ Blues, Latin. Swing, Jazz and Funk for almost three decades throughout the north east region, while gathering a large and loyal audience along the way.
International award winning, recording artist and record producer, Bobby Gentilo will be returning from his European tour in time to light up the stage and the dance floor with their Mississippi juke joint infused world music.
DC’s “My People on The Street Project” is going into its 8th winter of supplying clothing, sleeping bags, food and love to the human beings who are actually sleeping on the streets of Lancaster City throughout the winter. Using his own money and private donations of both supplies and finances has made this mission possible. Dave has been an active advocate for putting a better system in place for helping our homeless population.
