30 Minutes of Composers Under 30: The Next Generation of Composers

Guest organist Ken Krause will be the recitalist for the program titled “The Next Generation: Young Composers” on July 7 at 8 pm in the historic First Reformed Church, UCC at 40 East Orange Street, Lancaster. The program includes “Festive Intrada” by German composer Paul Fey, 25, and works by Norwegian Simon Chrstian Nilsen, 27, and 19 year-old Dante Pasocomi of the United Kingdom. The concert will conclude with “Fantasie en Toccata op “Heer, U bent mijn leven” (Fantasy and Toccata on “Lord you are my life”) by Gert van Hoef, 29, of The Netherlands;
This series of free First Friday concerts is a gift to the community from First Reformed Church, a center city congregation of the United Church of Christ. Only 30 minutes in length, the free concerts begin at 8 PM each First Friday for the convenience of those who wish to spend the early evening visiting downtown galleries before the concert. Doors open at 7:30 pm. All are welcome to hear 30 minutes of inspiring organ music that will refresh your soul and inspire your spirit.
