October 26, 2017

The awards ceremony will be held at the Lancaster County Convention Center on Thursday, October 26 at 7 pm. Awardees are being reviewed now and will be announced at the end of the summer. It is an honor to host the statewide awards ceremony, which will include performances from Pennsylvania artists. Following the ceremony there will be a dessert and coffee reception. This event is open to the public and free of charge. We will ask you to register closer to the event. Read more about the awards at www.arts.pa.gov.

The City of Lancaster has an opportunity to create a full week of events leading up to the awards ceremony showcasing our local talent in a variety of ways! We will dedicate a day of the week to each genre. A community engagement committee was formed to organize the events leading up to the awards ceremony.

Co-chairs of the event are Bob Shoemaker, Project Executive with the Lancaster City Alliance, and Annie Weeks, Director of the City of Lancaster Office of Promotion.

The tentative schedule is below. We will kick off the celebration with a day dedicated to music on Saturday, October 21. A parade celebrating the arts will take place on Sunday, October 22. In a few weeks, we will contact you again to ask how you would like to participate.
