Held in partnership with Lancaster City and the Lancaster Bikes program, Open Streets, presented by Lancaster Rec, is a free family-friendly event that temporarily transforms Water Street into a pedestrian mall, with music, food, shopping and activities promoting physical wellbeing, civic pride and personal and community connections.
Open Streets creates 8 blocks of safe, car-free streets so that community members can walk, bike, blade and skate to participate in dozens of recreational activities, learn more about local non-profit services and businesses, shop locally and get to know their neighbors.
