Join us to celebrate Justin Jones’ new collection of mosaic created with bread tabs. He first begin to work with bread tabs as an artistic medium while working in a restaurant kitchen. The variety of colors and dimensions caught his eye and soon he had friends, family, and local kitchens saving their tabs. Jones describes the physical qualities of bread tabs as being very diverse in color, shape and size. He observes that “Alone they appear to be disposable. Together, they can be something beautiful”. Jones, a 2007 graduate of Pennsylvania College of Art & Design, appreciates the group effort involved in saving the quantity of tabs needed for these pieces. He thanks all the friends who helped him collect the bread tabs for the work in this show.
