Holiday Inn Lancaster kicks off its first First Friday on the Terrace event

with a celebration of local artists.

As part of its ongoing celebration of Downtown Lancaster’s arts and culture scene, the Holiday Inn Lancaster is hosting its first First Friday on The Terrace series of special events Friday, Aug. 5, from 6-10 p.m.

The public is invited for an evening of art, music, mingling and fun, and the chance to meet

the seven featured artist/designers whose work will be showcased and available for sale.

The artists include: illustrator/graphic designer Eric Tonzola; one-of-a-kind fashion designer Michael Ribbeca of Birdup Productions; photographer/tattoo artist Zach Walters (aka Cactus Zach); artist Wendy Li Yuen Ting (Works of Wendy); artist/designer Clover (Clover’s Art); Eli of Azar Studios, known for his custom fabrications and abstract metal/wood works, and artist/designer Keisha Finnie.

The First Friday on the Terrace series is the brainchild of Holiday Inn Beverage Director Daniel Berfond and Imperial Restaurant and Terrace bartender/artist Eric Tonzola. “Since half of the 5,000 sq.ft. outdoor terrace is under roof, we’re able to offer all kinds of arts events rain or shine,” Berfond stated. “It’s the perfect setting, with plenty of space to mingle, meet our guest artists, and take in the beauty of downtown Lancaster with our street-scene views overlooking Binns Park and the new Ewell Plaza.”

Dining options are offered at The Imperial Restaurant, plus beer, wine or The Imperial’s own specialty cocktails can be purchased on the terrace during the First Friday event.

The Imperial Terrace was formally launched at the end of June in conjunction with Celebrate Lancaster. Convenient parking is steps away at the Duke Street Parking Garage.
