Civitas Lancaster Chicken Barbecue

69th annual Civitas (Sertoma) Chicken barbecue Lancaster, PA – This year marks the 69th annual Civitas Lancaster Chicken Barbecue. Civitas Lancaster is the successor to the Lancaster Sertoma Club. This year’s barbecue is scheduled for Saturday, May 21, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is open to the public. During this eight-hour period, hundreds of community volunteers will prepare over 15,000 chicken dinners. This year’s barbecue will include craft brews and more in the Civitas / Wacker Brewing Company Beer Garden. Both dine in and take options are available. Pick-up lines will be doubled to speed service. Tickets can be purchased in advance online at CivitasLancaster.org at a discount price of $12. Tickets can also be purchased the day of the barbecue online or at the park for $13. Proceeds directly benefit the Lancaster community, Long’s Park improvement projects, programs for at risk youth, and other local nonprofits.
