JOIN US on First Friday Lancaster for our TENTH year with many of the latest electric vehicle offerings! From gorgeous converted classic cars and trucks to production EVs that have just hit the market, there will be plenty to look at and real-life drivers to chat with about their personal EV experiences. No car dealers at this event.

1. RARE, FAMOUS EV in attendance!
We will have a General Motors EV-1 in our presence for the evening – a true EV unicorn! That’s right, they didn’t quite destroy all of them. The GM EV-1 is kind of the star of the 1990’s documentary “Who Killed the Electric Car?” about several different EV models that built and promptly destroyed just a few years later by the very companies that built them.

2. FREE FILM showing!
The SONY documentary Who Killed the Electric Car documents carefully how CA and AZ passed bold legislation in the 90’s requiring all automakers to produce a small number of zero emission vehicles if they wanted to continue to sell cars in those states. Reluctantly all the automakers produced very decent EVs to satisfy this requirement. The George W. Bush administration would eventually come into power, and join the fight to successfully kill the zero-emission mandate. Thousands of electric cars and trucks were then taken back from the lessees and crushed and/or shredded. THERE WILL BE 3PM FREE SHOWING OF THIS FILM AT ZOETROPOLIS CINEMA.
The theatre is located at 112 N. Water Street Lancaster, PA 17603. You can park on the street anywhere nearby for free after 6pm and all day Sunday. There are also three parking garages within a 2-3 minute walk from the location.

3. RECORD-HOLDING el camino eDragster!
Super excited about having two Maryland teachers exhibit their sweet El Camino e-drag racer with two WarP 9’s and at least one Zilla 2k controller paired with hybrid batteries for maximum power and minimal mass. Come see what 1000 foot pounds of torque looks like.
