7th Annual LAUNCH Music Conference & Festival March 30, 2015 By Alexandria Chiavetta Kicking off the spring and summer concert season with a bang, the 7th annual LAUNCH Music Conference & Festival will take place April 23 through 26 all over Downtown Lancaster. The event brings together the business and pleasure aspects of the industry, packing the weekend full of panels, seminars, interviews, events, and performances. The conference side of LAUNCH gives music industry professionals, artists and fans the chance to meet and greet with featured speakers in order to network and further their career scope. This year’s speakers include select publicity directors, artist managers, record store and label owners, tour managers, and artists from bands like August Burns Red and Texas in July. These panelists will each have given timeslots throughout the weekend to discuss topics like the value of music education, festivals and touring, marketing music, creative property and licensing, and job descriptions in the field. The festival side of LAUNCH exposes fans in and around the Lancaster area to almost 200 artists from around the country. Featured headliners for this year’s LAUNCH tour include: I, The Breather performing on Thursday night at the Lancaster County Convention Center (LCCC), Badfish performing on Friday at The Chameleon Club, Atreya performing on Friday at LCCC, Alien Ant Farm and (HED) P.E. performing on Saturday night at The Chameleon Club, and Mo Lowda and the Humble performing on Saturday at Tellus360.
