Creative Works of Lancaster: Absolutely Anything March 3, 2015March 3, 2015 By Amber Strazzo Keeping local theater vibrant and relevant means supporting new theater, says writer Erich Goldstein. You can do just that this weekend by seeing Goldstein’s new original musical, Absolutely Anything. Written with composer Brian Cimmet, the musical is the first to be produced by Creative Works of Lancaster. According to Goldstein, this is the basic story: “John loves Lydia. Lydia breaks up with John, saying she is going to see other guys. Well, John decides to use costumes and wigs to be all those other guys. Then when every guy Lydia dates is a jerk, she’ll come back to John, right? Plus, John’s roommate, Kevin, is dating John’s sister, Juli. But Kevin is obsessed with testing their relationship to see if everything is okay. And enough of that and it won’t be. In addition, there is an internet romance between John’s father, Anthony, and Lydia’s aunt, Madeleine.” The show will run for one weekend only – March 5 through 8 – at St. John’s Episcopal Church. There will be performances at 8 PM each night, with additional matinee shows at 2 PM on March 7 and 8. Tickets are $20, or 3 for $50, and available at www.thecwl.eventbrite.com.
