RFP: Let’s reTHINK Litter in Lancaster

City of Lancaster, PA

The City of Lancaster Public Art Advisory Board is seeking proposals from community groups interested in hosting the reTHINK sculpture. The Litter Letter project is a collaborative effort of local citizens, businesses and organizations seeking to raise awareness about the impact of litter on our environment and in our community. The 6 foot tall letters “RETHINK” are constructed out of chicken wire and rebar. Lancaster’s Litter Letter Project, RETHINK, is available for community groups to use to coordinate trash pickups and recycling education activities. Area groups are encouraged to collect trash from local streets and parks, filling each letter as a visual symbol of how our actions impact our neighborhoods. The idea for this project is to work collaboratively to RETHINK what is trash? and to educate the community on reducing, reusing, and recycling. Click here for RFP.
